This blog previously served as a collection and assesment of the work I had completed during Instructional Technology. Now, it will serve the same purpose for the course Inclusive Classroom Practices. I hope to use it afterwards as a place for reflection, discussion, and growth in my professional life. Topics will be relating to Elementary Education, Special Education, Sign Language Interpreting and my experiences over time.
I think this is a great topic for a WebQuest. Not only can students learn about science, but they also learn how to apply it to their own lives in a time when environmental awareness is becoming increasingly more important. I like that you give students the choice to do either a photostory or paper, so that they can express themselves through their strengths. The only potential problem I see is that a 15 picture photostory does not seem like as much work as a 2-3 page paper accompanied by power point. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The paper would actually just be a report of the answers from the questions the students had to research individually in the first step, so it wouldn't really require too much effort. I didn't make that clear though in the process, so thanks for bringing it up!
ReplyDeleteThis is a well designed WebQuest! I think it will promote student learning as outlined in your content standard! Well done!
